Olcio Cellars
A feature of Olcio are cellars that are under numerous houses in the historic core. Many are equipped with a well that drew water directly from the lake. Others are carved directly into the rock.
They were used to store wine, olive oil and cheese to mature.
Every year, in April, you can visit the cellars during the event Olcio in cantina.
It is an opportunity to get to know the cellars' history and to admire its features, which you will learn directly from the families who owned them for many generations. Each cellar hosts planned cultural events (poetry, painting, sculpture, photography) that express the work of local artists, as well as tasting of typical local products and of selected wines.
